Edwin B. (Ted) Hathaway is CEO of Oldcastle Glass®. Ted Hathaway, who holds an MBA with honors from
Columbia University Business School and a BA in economics from Connecticut College, started his career as
a commercial banker with Bankers Trust and later worked for a leveraged-buyout firm. He joined Oldcastle, Inc.
in 1987 as Vice President Development. In 1990, he identified the need for and championed the formation of
Oldcastle Glass® with the acquisition of HGP Industries, an architectural glass fabricator with $80M in sales and
11 operating locations. Over the next decade, 25 bolt-on acquisitions advanced the business to North American
leadership in fabricated glass products for residential and commercial construction. Oldcastle Glass® currently
has 75 locations in 26 states and four Canadian provinces, and employs more than 6,400 people. Ted was
promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 1998 and to CEO in 2000. In 2004, Ted joined the Board of Governors
of the New York-based Museum of Arts of Design. He has two children and resides in Pacific Palisades, California.
