Mark joined Oldcastle as Chief Operating Officer of the Materials Group in 1997, became President in 2000
and was recently promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Oldcastle Materials operates at 732 locations in 32
states with more than 14,500 employees. Previously, Mark was President and CEO of Meridian Aggregates
Company in Denver, Colorado, and has 33 years of experience in the industry. He served as Chairman of
the Board of the National Stone Sand and Gravel Association in 1998 and presently serves as Chairman of
the Board of Trustees for the International Center for Aggregate Research at the University of Texas, the
Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Rocks Build America Foundation at the Smithsonian Institute in
Washington, DC, and serves on the Board of Trustees at Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk, Virginia.
